Northeast green industry growers are invited to participate in a free Farm Credit East webinar taking place on Tuesday, February 25 at 12:00 noon. This webinar will provide economic projections for the coming year for the green industry, including nursery, greenhouse and sod industries. 

In honor of National FFA Week taking place February 15-22, Farm Credit East has announced its awarding of nine scholarships to students involved in The National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Organization to support their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). The scholarship recipients had strong projects and expressed a clear understanding of their projects’ impacts on their future careers in agriculturally related fields. 

The deadline to insure spring crops in the northeast for the 2025 crop year is March 15, 2025. Insurable spring crops include field and vegetable crops such as corn, soybeans, barley, oats, fresh market sweet corn, cabbage, processing beans, processing sweet corn, dry beans, green peas, fresh market beans, tomatoes, tobacco and potatoes.
