In honor of National FFA Week taking place February 15-22, Farm Credit East has announced its awarding of nine scholarships to students involved in The National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Organization to support their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). The scholarship recipients had strong projects and expressed a clear understanding of their projects’ impacts on their future careers in agriculturally related fields. 

The Farm Credit Northeast AgEnhancement Program, a joint effort of Farm Credit East and CoBank, recently provided $106,000 in grant funding to 15 organizations to assist their efforts to encourage youth leadership development, support young and beginning farmer initiatives, promote diversity, equity and inclusion, and advance northeast agriculture, forestry and commercial fishing.

Farm Credit East announced today the Farm Credit East Cares Community Fund donated $110,000 to various charitable organizations throughout the Northeast. This included $40,000 distributed to regional food banks throughout the eight states Farm Credit East serves. 

Farm Credit East recently announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 Lipinski Rural Initiatives Award, which aims to recognize innovative and transformational efforts to revitalize Northeast rural communities. Nominations are due by January 31, 2025.
