ENFIELD, CONN. — The application period is now open for Farm Credit East’s Farmers’ Market Grant program. This annual program provides small grants to Northeast farmers’ markets to support their promotion and development efforts. Interested farmers’ markets must apply by May 31.

Farm Credit East recently awarded $33,000 in scholarships to support 22 Northeast educators’ attendance at Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) institutes this summer. CASE institutes provide educators with training and resources to teach CASE curriculum courses to high school students. 

Farm Credit East recently released a series of reports and webinars providing economic outlooks for the diverse sectors of Northeast agriculture, including dairy, grain and oilseeds, greenhouse and nursery, maple, apple and forest products.
