Farm Credit East recently announced the opening of nominations for the 2024 Lipinski Rural Initiatives Award, which aims to recognize innovative and transformational efforts to revitalize Northeast rural communities. Nominations are due by January 31, 2024. 

Farm Credit East is pleased to continue its support of Northeast agricultural educators with scholarships to aid their attendance at institutes offered by the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE).

The Farm Credit Northeast AgEnhancement Program, a joint effort of Farm Credit East and CoBank, recently provided $80,000 in grant funding to 18 organizations to assist their efforts to support young and beginning farmer initiatives, encourage youth leadership development, promote diversity equity and inclusion, and advance northeast agriculture, forestry and commercial fishing. Submissions for the next round of grant funding are due by December 1.

A successful manager is required to master many aspects of the farm business. To help the next generation develop the necessary business and financial skills, Farm Credit East is hosting GenerationNext seminars this fall and winter. Anyone who would like to sharpen their management skills is encouraged to attend. Both in-person and virtual sessions are offered.
