Join Harris Beach, PLLC and Farm Credit East for an informational webinar series on seasonal business labor and immigration. The first of four webinars, titled “H-2A: Getting the Agricultural Workers you Need Legally,” will be held on Wednesday, November 30, at 10:00 a.m.

The Farm Credit System today reported that combined net income increased 6.9% to $1.9 billion and 4.8% to $5.4 billion for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2022, as compared with net income of $1.8 billion and $5.2 billion for the same periods of the prior year.

Farm Credit East is accepting applications from Northeast agricultural educators to support their attendance at institutes offered by the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE). Scholarships will cover up to $1,500. The application deadline is November 15.

The Farm Credit Northeast AgEnhancement Program, a joint effort of Farm Credit East and CoBank, recently provided $50,000 in grant funding to 12 organizations to assist their efforts to support young and beginning farmer initiatives, encourage youth leadership development, promote diversity equity and inclusion, and advance northeast agriculture, forestry and commercial fishing.
