Farm Credit Awards Efforts to Develop and Promote Northeast Agriculture

The Farm Credit Northeast AgEnhancement Program, a joint effort of Farm Credit East and CoBank, recently provided $115,000 in grant funding to 27 organizations to assist their efforts to encourage youth leadership development, support young and beginning farmer initiatives, promote diversity, equity and inclusion, and advance northeast agriculture, forestry and commercial fishing.

Farm Credit East Contributes $100,000 to Northeast Food Security Initiatives

Farm Credit East recently announced it contributed $100,000 to Northeast food security initiatives as part of the Food Access Infrastructure Initiative. The Urban Agriculture Cooperative, based in Newark, New Jersey, and the Burlington Food Pantry, located in Burlington, Maine, each received $50,000 to improve infrastructure and help mitigate food insecurity.
