Reminder: June 30 Deadline to Change Dairy Revenue Protection (DRP) Provider to Crop Growers

Crop Growers from Farm Credit East reminds dairy producers of the June 30, 2026, deadline to change their Dairy Revenue Protection (DRP) provider. Producers can sign up for coverage at any time, but existing policies can only be transferred to a different provider once per year by the June 30 deadline.

Farm Credit Awards Efforts to Develop and Promote Northeast Agriculture

The Farm Credit Northeast AgEnhancement Program, a joint effort of Farm Credit East and CoBank, recently provided $113,000 in grant funding to 20 organizations to assist their efforts to encourage youth leadership development, support young and beginning farmer initiatives, promote diversity, equity and inclusion, and advance northeast agriculture, forestry and commercial fishing.

The deadline to insure pasture, rangeland and forage in the Northeast for the 2026 crop year is December 1, 2025. Pasture, Rangeland and Forage (PRF) insurance protects against lack of precipitation for both haying and grazing ground.

The deadline to insure Northeast perennial crops for the 2026 crop year is November 20, 2025. Insurable perennial crops include apples, peaches, grapes, cranberries, blueberries, pears and cherries.
