Good analysis starts with good data. The USDA’s Census of Agriculture is a valuable source of data to understand the make-up and operation of our nation’s agriculture, and so it’s important that it’s as accurate and comprehensive as possible. New farmers, or existing farmers who have not participated in a prior Census of Agriculture, can sign up to be counted through the end of June.

The deadline to insure Northeast spring crops for the 2017 crop year is March 15, 2017. To protect investments in the 2017 crop, spring crop producers should contact their Crop Growers agent to sign up or to make changes to their coverage.
