For those agricultural producers who received Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funding, Farm Credit East is offering an informational webinar to prepare producers to apply for loan forgiveness.

Farm Credit East, the Northeast’s largest agricultural lending cooperative, recently awarded $49,500 in college scholarships to 32 student recipients. Farm Credit East’s scholarship program supports students with diverse career aspirations in agriculture, commercial fishing and the forest products sectors from across the association’s seven-state territory.

Farm Credit East, recently awarded $68,000 in higher education scholarships to 40 student recipients. Farm Credit East’s scholarship program supports students with diverse career aspirations in agriculture, commercial fishing, forest products and related fields from across the association’s eight-state territory, including four diversity candidate recipients.

Farm Credit East is currently accepting nominations for the Lipinski Rural Initiatives Award, which aims to recognize innovative and transformational efforts to revitalize Northeast rural communities. For 2023, Farm Credit East and its strategic partner CoBank have committed to award a combined $50,000 to one or more recipients. The nomination deadline has been extended to February 15, 2023. 

The Farm Credit System today reported combined net income of $1.8 billion and $5.2 billion for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2021, as compared with $1.6 billion and $4.4 billion for the same periods of the prior year.

At Farm Credit East’s 2022 Annual Meeting, the financial cooperative was pleased to announce two winners of the second annual Lipinski Rural Initiatives award. This award was created by Farm Credit East’s Board of Directors in 2020 to recognize former Farm Credit East CEO Bill Lipinski and aims to recognize innovative and transformational efforts to revitalize Northeast rural communities.
