FFA Scholarship

Farm Credit East is committed to supporting the next generation of agriculture. As such, we offer scholarships for high school students involved in The National FFA (Future Farmers of America) Organization to support their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) or educational opportunities within the agriculture, commercial fishing or forest products industries.

About the Award

$500 scholarships are awarded twice per year. Funds can be used to support the students’ current SAE projects, fund new SAE projects, be put toward higher education or to enhance their knowledge of the agriculture, commercial fishing or forest products industries.

There are two application deadlines per year: June 30 and December 31. Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 PM EST on their respective deadline.

Financial Statements

For a template to create your financial statements, click here. Financial statements are used to get a snapshot of the business and how it is doing. The information you submit will allow us to get an idea of how you are investing in and improving your SAE. The two financial statements we would like from you are a balance sheet and an income statement.

Applicants can reapply one full cycle after receiving the scholarship (e.g., An applicant who receives a scholarship for the cycle ending December 31 must wait until the cycle starting July 1 to reapply. They must skip one cycle.) Applicants who reapply after receiving a scholarship will be expected to show growth.
