Meet Emili
Emili brings a depth of experience and knowledge to her work as a business consultant. Emili began her professional career as a sales and marketing representative for a dairy cooperative in New England that bottled their own milk. Following her role with the cooperative, she worked in marketing and sales for a lamb and beef operation in the Hudson Valley. Joining Farm Credit East as a loan officer, she worked with a diverse portfolio of businesses for 12 years in the Hudson Valley, including dairy, orchard, equine, diversified vegetable, craft beverage and agricultural retail operations. She later moved to Central N.Y. to help manage a credit team and eventually transitioned to a business consultant role covering Central, Northern and Eastern N.Y., as well as Western New England.
Emili offers her clients expertise to create strategic plans for the long-term sustainability of agricultural businesses in the Northeast. Leveraging Farm Credit East’s financial and lending team, she helps facilitate and coordinate business transfer and estate planning. Her diverse background brings skill sets that help to identify, map and collaborate with internal and external team members using a whole business approach for financial success.
A SUNY Cobleskill graduate with a degree in agricultural business, Emili provides sound strategic planning assistance allowing agricultural businesses to focus on daily operations.

Personal
Emili Ponte is originally from R.I. and grew up within the fishing industry where her father operates a lobster and ground fish business. Her involvement in 4-H sparked a passion for the agricultural industry and a career supporting Northeast Agriculture. Emili enjoys any activity involving the water, such as ice fishing, fly fishing and boating of all sorts. She loves spending time with her family and helping operate her father’s fishing boat on her days off.
