Meet Kathryn
Kathryn Canzonier brings extensive experience and a practical, client-focused approach to her work as a consultant. Raised on a dairy and crop farm in Jefferson County, New York, Kathryn developed an early passion for agriculture through her involvement in 4-H and FFA. She earned a BS in agricultural economics from Cornell University before beginning her career with Farm Credit East as a credit representative and tax specialist in Flemington, New Jersey. In this role, she worked with a diverse portfolio of agricultural businesses, building a strong foundation in financial services, tax planning and credit analysis.
After relocating to Watertown, New York, Kathryn advanced through a series of leadership and technical roles over her almost 30-year tenure with Farm Credit East. She served as a credit analyst in the Burrville and Potsdam offices, specializing in large and complex credit relationships, before transitioning to a loan officer role. Kathryn then spent 15 years as the branch office manager in Burrville. She later served as the regional financial services leader for central New York, overseeing a team of 20 professionals and supporting the delivery of accounting, tax and consulting services across the region. She now works as a consultant serving agricultural businesses throughout northern and central New York.
Kathryn partners with clients to develop strategic business plans that support long-term sustainability and growth. She primarily works with dairy and crop farms, as well as diversified agricultural businesses including greenhouse, vegetable, fruit and agritourism operations. Drawing on her leadership experience and deep understanding of agricultural finance, Kathryn brings a collaborative, whole-business approach to helping clients navigate complex business decisions.
