Grant Funding for Northeast Agricultural Producers - Farm Credit East Releases Report on Grants and Incentives

ENFIELD, CONN. — Farm Credit East has released an updated report to help Northeast producers identify grants and incentives. There are a number of funding opportunities available to assist Northeast agriculture businesses, but learning about their availability and navigating the application process can be a challenge. This report provides federal, regional and state grants, loan guarantees, and other incentives available to assist Northeast producers of all types and sizes. 

“Grants can help producers move forward with projects that might otherwise be difficult to fund,” said Chris Laughton, Farm Credit East Director of Knowledge Exchange. “This report is designed to save producers time by bringing many of these opportunities together in one place.”

This Farm Credit East Knowledge Exchange report includes funding opportunities available in the eight states served by Farm Credit East: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. New this year, the report also incorporates grant opportunities available in Pennsylvania. Programs are divided into broad categories according to their main focus: beginning farmers; conservation, environment and forestry; energy; fisheries and aquaculture; organic; rural business development; and research, education and promotion.
