In honor of National Intern Day being celebrated on July 30, Farm Credit East recognizes the 16 college students the financial cooperative hosted this summer. With career aspirations in production agriculture, agribusiness, accounting, finance, communications or related fields, their efforts will leave a lasting impact on the association. 

Farm Credit East has released its 2025 Northeast Dairy Farm Summary and 2026 Mid-Year Outlook, indicating that 2025 was a profitable year for the Northeast dairy industry despite lower milk prices and higher feed costs. This year’s report also includes dairy market outlooks from a prominent dairy economist. 

Farm Credit East, the Northeast’s largest agricultural lender, recently awarded $206,000 in higher education scholarships to 38 student recipients. Farm Credit East’s scholarship program supports students with diverse career aspirations in agriculture, commercial fishing, forest products and related fields from across the association’s eight-state territory.

The Farm Credit Northeast AgEnhancement Program, a joint effort of Farm Credit East and CoBank, recently provided $127,500 in grant funding to 29 organizations to assist their efforts to encourage youth leadership development, support young and beginning farmer initiatives, promote diversity, equity and inclusion, and advance northeast agriculture, forestry and commercial fishing.
