Grant funding is one way to help defray some of the costs of building or improving an agricultural business. But, it can sometimes be a challenge to first identify, then complete the application process for a specific grant. A Farm Credit East webinar discussed the process for obtaining grant funding and highlighted some of the grants available for Northeast producers.
Hundreds of farmers’ markets across the Northeast supply fresh, local farm products directly to consumers. In support of this important channel, we at Farm Credit East recently provided $500 grants to 20 Northeast farmers’ markets – for a total of $10,000 – to benefit the promotion and development of the markets.
