Mary Kate is a consultant helping farmers grow their operations and achieve their goals. Since joining Farm Credit East in August 2025, Mary Kate has provided financial analysis and business planning to diverse farm businesses. Prior to joining Farm Credit East, she taught farm business management for Cornell Cooperative Extension and conducted applied economic research with Cornell PRO-DAIRY. She holds a MS from Cornell University in agricultural economics and a BA in environmental studies from Bowdoin College.

Personal

Mary Kate has an interest in all sectors of agriculture, large and small. For the past decade, she has consulted with some of the largest dairy operations in New York. Previously, she owned and operated a CSA. Now, Mary Kate and her husband operate a small grazing farm and retail meat business near Naples, N.Y. They and their two children enjoy outdoor activities including downhill skiing.
