Thomas Qualey, (62), of Sherman, Maine, is owner and partner of Three Oak Farms, a 1,200-acre commercial farm operation producing 350-400 acres of chipping potatoes and 500-800 acres of rotation crops, including oats, barley, hay and wheat.
Farm Credit/Community Involvement: Past president and director of the Maine Potato Board, member of the Agricultural Bargaining Council and past director of Maine Potato Growers. Thomas is also past member and chair of the United States Potato Board as well as having served as chair of its Finance Committee and co-chair of its Industry Communications and Policy Committee.
Current Business Interests/Affiliations: Owner of Tom's Logging, a commercial logging operation.
