Cranberry Cost of Production Study

Farm Credit East, ACA is conducting an ongoing study to measure the cost of cranberry production in the Northeast, and we want you to participate! We are collecting cost data from growers for the 2012 crop year. Due to the importance of the study, Farm Credit East, ACA wants to enhance the report with additional 2011 data from participants. Our findings will be analyzed and presented in a report available to you as both a grower and a key industry stakeholder.

The results of the 2010 Cost of Production Study are now available.

*** Results of this report will be provided to you with a personalized cost comparison evaluation for you to identify areas of costs savings to enhance earnings and make better-informed long-term business decisions. All completed surveys will also be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card! The winner will be chosen at random and will receive notification by mail. ***

This survey has also directly benefited cranberry farmers through its past use in determining state grants to the industry, as well as on the federal level through emergency disaster assistance programs for the 2001-2 crops, the marketing orders in 2000-1 and the market loss assistance program which provided $5 per barrel in direct payments to growers on the 2000 crop.

Your individual data will be held in strict confidence. All the information in the report is compiled into average and quartiles eliminating reporting of individual cranberry operations.
