Farm Credit East is committed to supporting the next generation of agriculture, commercial fishing and forest products industry leaders. As such, we are offering a scholarship for students involved in The National FFA Organization (Future Farmers of America) to support their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) or educational opportunities within the agriculture, commercial fishing or forest products industries.
This scholarship will be awarded to students with a strong Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) and who understand their project’s impact on their future career in an agriculturally related field. Applicants must be active in their local FFA chapter and reside within the eight states Farm Credit East serves. Applicants will be evaluated on their SAE, including objectives, progress to date and project financials. Community involvement and volunteer activities will also be looked at in the judging criteria. Applicants can receive the scholarship once per year. To view the scholarship rubric, click here.

The information you submit will allow us to get an idea of how you are investing in and improving your SAE. The two financial statements we would like from you are a Balance Sheet and an Income Statement.
Four $500 scholarships will be awarded semi-annually. Funds can be used to support the student’s current SAE project or to enhance their knowledge of the agriculture, commercial fishing or forest products industries.
There are two application deadlines per year: June 30 and December 31. Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00PM on their respective deadline.
