In our final installment of Stewards of the Land, we travel to Bordentown, N.J., to Sunset Farmstead — a sustainable nursery operation focused on growing native plants for pollinators and effective soil management.
Today our Stewards of the Land series takes us to a Western New York dairy farm. Noblehurst Farms is a 1,850-cow dairy with 3,000 crop acres, and their most recent iteration in a long history of environmental stewardship was the installation of an anaerobic digester.
Today begins a four-part series highlighting Northeast agricultural producers who have implemented various practices to benefit the environment. We’ll kick off the series at Russell Orchards Farm Store and Winery, a 120-acre fruit and vegetable farm in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
