All in all, 2016 was another reasonably good year for most Northeast greenhouse and nursery growers, and 2017 should be even a little bit better, provided the all-important weather cooperates. The industry also has some emerging trends for production and marketing.
Though the spring of 2016 proved to be a challenge for some Northeast greenhouse growers, the industry is on solid footing heading into 2017. While there is optimism for another good year ahead, the greenhouse sector faces risks in factors like weather and the health of the general economy.
