Farm Credit East offers Development Seminars for the Next Generation of Agricultural Producers
ENFIELD, CONN. — Farm Credit East is hosting GenerationNext seminars this fall and winter for agricultural producers and agribusiness professionals looking to strengthen their leadership skills and prepare for greater responsibility within their businesses. Available through both in-person and virtual formats, GenerationNext helps participants develop the business knowledge, leadership capabilities and practical tools needed to make informed decisions, manage people and finances, navigate risk, and support long-term business success.
Designed for emerging leaders, entrepreneurs and individuals preparing for larger roles within agricultural businesses, the program provides hands-on learning focused on financial management, production economics, human resources, marketing, risk management and succession planning. Participants will gain valuable insights through discussions with Farm Credit East consultants and their peers from across the Northeast.
“GenerationNext gives participants the tools they can put to work right away, from financial management to leadership and communication skills that are valuable both on and off the farm,” said Darren Adsit, a Farm Credit East relationship manager in Burrville, New York. “The depth and breadth of the program makes it one of the most valuable development opportunities Farm Credit East offers, and with the subsidized price point, it’s an easy decision for those looking to grow their role in the business.”
Starting in November, in-person sessions will be offered in Bridgeton, New Jersey; Auburn, Maine; White River Junction, Vermont; and three New York locations: Cortland, Potsdam and Batavia. The in-person program consists of three full-day sessions held over several weeks. A virtual option will begin in January and continue through March, featuring seven weekly two-hour sessions.
