Harris Beach and Farm Credit East Present Webinar on H-2A Labor

Harris Beach, PLLC and Farm Credit East hosted a webinar on Tuesday, November 17 at 9 a.m. titled, “H-2A: Getting the Agricultural Workers You Need Legally.”

This 90-minute webinar is the second in a Seasonal Business Labor and Immigration Webinar Series. The webinar provided an overview of the H-2A process in 2021, including employer obligations and compliance requirements. It will also cover what constitutes “agricultural” employment, whether you qualify for H-2A or H-2B, and how to navigate the DOL’s “Single Employer Test” in H-2A and whether year-round employment still possible. Other topics included, the new AEWR methodology, paid sick leave for H-2A workers and an update from NYS Department of Labor.
