Farm Credit East Presented 2021 Lumber Market Outlook Webinar

Farm Credit East hosted a webinar summarizing the lumber market in 2020, as well as provided an outlook for the 2021-22 seasons. This webinar was held on Tuesday, March 16.

Paul Jannke, Forest Economic Advisors, explained how lumber markets soared to record levels in 2020, driven by strong end-use market consumption and supply side constraints. Jannke also discussed demand drivers for lumber markets, whether supply will respond to the high prices, and what he expects for lumber markets in the coming year. Continuing education credits have been requested.
