Farm Credit East has announced its awarding of 16 scholarships to students involved in The National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Organization to support their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). The scholarship recipients had strong projects and expressed a clear understanding of their projects’ impacts on their future careers in agriculturally related fields.

The deadline to insure fall crops in the Northeast for the 2027 crop year is September 30, 2026. Insurable fall crops include barley, forage production and wheat. Coverage availability varies by county.

Farm Credit System Reports 2026 Second Quarter and Six-Month Net Income

The Farm Credit System today reported combined net income of $2.2 billion for the second quarter and $4.3 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026, as compared with net income of $1.9 billion and $3.9 billion for the same periods of the prior year.
